I’m Patrick Smietanka, a Polish Canadian author and screenwriter passionate about building worlds that make people think. I craft stories centered on resilience, survival, and the strange, complicated sides of society, often wrapped in dystopian sci-fi, horror, psychological thrillers, history, or comedy. With an educational background in history, I bring a strong sense of research and perspective to my work, enriching each story with depth and context. My novels, Euphoria and Serenity, explore these themes alongside screenplays like 8 BALL, A Menina das Caixas, and several projects currently in development. Whether it is a script, a novel, or something in between, I’m drawn to stories that challenge how we see the world and ourselves.

I’m always open to new collaborations and creative challenges.
